P.S. Macerating Strawberries
A delicious way to do this is to drizzle sliced strawberries (0r any type of berry, I would think) with balsamic vinegar -- as good a quality as you can afford. You don't need much. I sometimes add sugar or honey, but for me the berries are sweet enough without them. I'm guessing the vinegar probably helps keep the berries, too.
